Presidents V Congress
Why are our presidents now considered the smartest people on the planet? It seems after the election of 2008 that the only people with any sense were the top political candidate. Where is Congress??? We have 100 senators and 435 representatives that collectively should be the brightest and smartest to solve the problems of America. In our mission statement we are fighting for Constitutional Term Limits. Over 75% of people support an amendment and one has been introduced.
This is why we are advocating for a term limit amendment for US Congress. It’s amazing that we follow like lemmings behind a candidate or two and leave the total consciousness of the legislative branch silent. Maybe it is not the top candidate’s problem but the fact that congress doesn’t have to do anything except raise money for the next campaign. Think follow the money!
Presidents should be the moderators, not the end all. We have essentially made our presidents the last 50 years KINGS! Just surround the president with a few advisors and begin the lining up of power. We all know that Power is Absolute and it is Absolutely Corrupt. We are closer to the days of the country that we broke from. It doesn’t seem to me that either party thinks that the other party has any good ideas. It’s Them V. Them
.
Term limits for congress, like many of our state governorships, State Reps and of course our presidents, have term limits. 2-3 terms in each house is sufficient. Here is the list of the top 7 longest serving congressmen.
- Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) — 47 years*
- Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) — 45 years*
- Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) — 41 years*
- Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) — 41 years*
- Rep. Hal Rogers (R-KY-05) — 41 years
- Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ-04) — 41 years
- Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD-05) — 40 years
In the last election we saw how just a few, long time politicians were able to have their opinion taken as truth.” WE THE PEOPLE”. Do you think this is really happening? We have a chance to correct this and give the people back the power. It’s about to be the 150th anniversary of the 1st Constitutional Congress. We still have the power!!! And as always, this is just one man’s opinion
Sincerely and God Bless,
JOMO
