Opinionator
We all have opinions. Cable news, sports talking heads, even our justice system, “In the opinion of the court”. Some opinions are backed by facts, others are just gut instincts, which come from some ideology or experience.
Just because you have a degree in journalism or played professional sports, on some level, does that make your opinion more valuable than yours or mine? Everybody tries to explain their political, religious ,sports, or product views. Which ones do we believe? Who makes the best car or knows what team will do good or bad. What makes the best coffee or cereal. Who knows the future of economics?
We are always in an economic or political mess. We are always trying to buy the best product and just because they appear on a tv or internet ad, who do we believe? Who do we trust? Just because someone else vouches for someone (Influencers) or they say they are the top rated, who says they are.
What makes a good opinion? Does their opinion listen to all the other opinions or do they block out everything that doesn’t line up with theirs. Just because you played a sport doesn’t make you an expert or even a good coach.
I can probably pick out 3 or 4 people off the street and put them in a studio and get some good opinions on sports and politics that are as good as 75 to 85 percent of what we have coming into our lives from what we hear and see. Sometimes when I hear people express their views, I just have to roll my eyes.
Listen, question, debate, and research the opinions of others. Use your own talents and you can produce some valuable opinions!! Of course this is just one man’s opinion.
Sincerely and God bless,
JOMO
